December 20, 2012, I finished a year long of treatments and
was declared in remission. This now makes the 9th year of recovery
and a reason to celebrate. God has awakened me every morning and continues to
remind me that my time on this earth isn’t done yet.
I’m here to see my youngest daughter turn 30 tomorrow. She,
too, has overcome obstacles and is looking forward to a new decade of
life. I pray for love and laughter for
both my girls. I like to pray,
especially for them.
Amazingly, I will be walking into my 60th year in
a few months. I’m not sure where time has gone and I wonder what contributions I have made in this world. Then I reflect on a few private moments
shared with others that will stay in my heart for eternity.
Our 15th wedding anniversary is December 31. We have grown as One with God in our marriage
and we have certainly grown as individuals.
What God has brought together, let no man put asunder.
The true celebration this season is remembering the birth of our Lord Jesus Christ. I need no gifts this year --- Jesus is the gift. He is my everything.
Dallas Jenkins created a beautiful nativity story. I hope you can spare 30 minutes. It’s very well worth it.
Peace be with you my friend ~
