The Shoe Fairy

The other day, my sister got to see first hand the response to the question "Do you carry size 5-1/2 shoe?"  JCP said "no".  How shocking, right?

Next thing I know, Christie comes over with boxes of 5-1/2 shoes she found!  LOL.  Bless her heart.  Unfortunately, my feet are so bad that it is hard to find comfortable shoes.  By the way, Doc said to wear thicker socks and soles ... so that may just bump me up to the next size.

Check out how cute these are!  Got some keepers in here!

Thank you Christie!

You are spoiling me!

  1. How easy it is to take our feet for granted until something bad happens to them like neuropathy. Mine felt like walking on broken glass and I can remember telling my doctor to just cut them off because I thought it would be easier to deal with prosthetics. Fortunately he didn’t listen to me and after a year they have gotten better now. I’m hoping your neuropathy never gets that bad. Some things I learned was to wear 2 pairs of socks with 2 insoles and shoes that are 2 sizes too big. The best shoes I found were those goofy looking Crocs brand. They’re basically foam rubber and seem to offer the best in cushiness while being easy to slip on and off. I can also wear them in the shower which is a plus. I hope you’re able to find some “happy feet” with your shoe challenges.

    1. Hi Joe! Thanks for the tip, I know what you are talking about and will try a pair on. I'm glad the doc didn't listen to you!! They must hear a lot of pleading on several things :)

  2. Hi Carol ~ If I’m reading your blog posts correctly, today (4/10) happens to be your birthday. Just wanted to wish you a fab 5-0 with many, many more to come. Really go wild and celebrate by drinking your 64 oz of water. ~ JM
